Engage Communication Delivers the IPExpressMLT-DI-H - a combination: T1 IP WAN Router; T1 Drop and Insert Multiplexor and a Four Port 10 BaseT Hub.

APTOS, Calif., June 20, 2002 - Engage Communication, Inc. delivers the IP·Express·MLT-DI-H to a Wireless Infrastructure Manufacture. The IP·Express·MLT-DI-H is being used to interconnect GSM Base Stations to Base Station Controllers. The integrated Ethernet Hub provides for an always on IP based network connection to the Ethernet Management interface of the GSM Base Stations. The Base Station's T1 TDM interface is multiplexed through the Drop and Insert interface onto the T1 WAN. The 24 Volt DC power option is being utilized.

IP·Express·MLT-DI-H is a Wide Area Network router, with an integrated Ethernet Hub, that routes the Internet Protocol through a T1 Interface that is Multiplexed with a built-in Drop and Insert Mux. Wide Area Networking Point to Point and Frame Relay Protocols, with 24/7 proven interoperability, are fully supported on the T1 channels allocated to the internal WAN Router. The IP·Express·MLT-DI-H's T1 Drop and Insert interface provides for the transparent interconnection of PBXs and Telecom Switches via the T1 WAN connection.
